Below is something I came across last night while watching YouTube. Of course this is someone's baby girl but we'll hit that point later. What I am intrigued about is the appearance of this female.
After watching this video, I know many men who would consider this woman to be top-notch fine. I personally think she looks unhealthy regardless of how flat her stomach. Maybe it's the oil. Is fineness acceptable when it goes outside the realm of being healthy?

OK... I'm too disgusted by the nasty ugly perv looking child molestor of a dude rubbing on her to even comment on the question at hand
LMAO @ Eb.
I was too busy trying to see what was wrong with her to motivate this post. But his contribution was definitely not needed.
Now my man eyes say "Damn! Look at that!"
But since you asked a question I had to put them away early.
That said, I have to disagree with you regarding her looking unhealthy. She seems pretty fit to me. I think if she was not then her body fat would be a bit more evenly distributed. If you look at her from just the waist up does she look unfit or unhealthy?
I am guessing her look is more a result of her genetics than her commitment or lack of commitment to exercise.
And I think that fineness is just fineness and is always acceptable. Now the question is do you find things that look unhealthy attractive? I see anorexic chicks all the time and there ain't nothing sexy about that. Now if the video was of a woman whose upper body looked more like the lower body in the video, it would depend no how it all was distributed...
So I guess my answer is maybe...
@eb - ROFL
@2nd 68 - I think anorexic people aren't healthy. I know black men prefer the thickness over anorexia in which case is the reason why I avoided posting about it. I"m asking seriously if her fineness should be accepted over being healthy. Just because her weight is distributed down low instead of up top doesn't mean it isn't doing damage all the same.
Ah. Well that is a different question. If you are intentionally doing things to make yourself look a certain way (stick thin supermodels for instance) then no. I guess that is part of the reason I don't find really skinny women all that attractive in general. I think the whole "Cosmo girls" mentality is a dangerous concept especially since it affects the self esteem of far too many folk who have nothing wrong with them...
The thing about the weight doing damage assumes that the weight is necessarily abnormal.
THAT depends on your yardstick as to what is good and bad on a body.
To me this particular woman looks like she not only knows where the local gym is but is well acquainted with the inside of it. Just that she was given some stuff from her ancestors that regular workouts wouldn't necessarily affect. I have a lot of family members who are similarly afflicted.
Could be that the only way to change things in this case is to be a workout junkie or plastic surgery. I have known people who have left this world doing both in pursuit of a standard they shouldn't have been pushing for in the first place.
Sistah Kayos - great post question - As a sistah with a similar build to the chick in the video I can say that no matter how much weight I lose my proportions will still be the same. I do think sistah girl could join me on my campaign to tighten some of this Blessing UP;-).
The more damaging aspect of the video (to ME) is Sistah Girl's self-esteem. I'm sure THAT is shot to HAYL to allow ones' self to be exploited in that way...
Yea, and Re: Black Folk on Attractive Vs. Healthy - that topic could be an entire BLOG Dedication -- sadly, I doubt most folk would visit it.
It makes me think of the Venus Hottentot.

@2nd 68 - Point taken.
@Cap - I totally agree. Her self-image has to be lacking if she feels that her body must be exploited in some way. I'm with Eb though...I'm more disgusted by the man rubbin on her ass in video.
@Babz - No words. None whatsoever.
@2nd 68 - Oh I meant to tell ya muscle doesn't jiggle like that. If she works out then it's all upper body.
Hell yeah muscles do not jiggle like that!!! This video is Nasty b/c of the way she is dressed not her body type..though I do think she could be alot more toned!

HELLO THERE!
Just browsing when I cam across your blog, I like what your doing here.
Is fineness acceptable when it goes outside the realm of being healthy?
Women have it tough when it comes to body issues, at first you had to look like a super model who looked like they never at anything othere that a pice of grass there enitre life.
With black people some meat on the bones is the norm.
For me it is up to the woman. If her body is giving health issues like diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiac problems, than it should be a no brainer that it is unhealthy.
But the influnce of men on women is hard.
Thnaks clnmike!
You raise some very important points. The power of influence of men on women is strong and undeniable.
