OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH




Boston (dbTechno) - October marks the one and only National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which aims to help bring people together to raise awareness about the disease.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in women in the United States.
It results in many deaths each and every year, as more and more women are diagnosed with it.
In regards to deaths, it is the second most common cause of death from cancer in white, black, Asian, and American indian women.
It is the leading cause of death from cancer among Hispanic women.
The other strange thing that many may not know is that men can also develop breast cancer.
It is most common in men between the ages of 60 and 70-years old.
This month will feature many events across the U.S. to raise awareness about breast cancer, treatments, prevention tips, and much more.
